Inventory Specialist

Position Summary: The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining the organization’s stock inventory by conducting regular counts of both smallwares and equipment, providing purchasing requests to the purchasing department, maintaining records in the organization’s ERP system, assisting with website stock management, and acting as a steward of the organization’s inventory data.

Essential Job Functions:

• Request regular counts of stock inventory from the warehouse and showroom and verify data accuracy in NetSuite.

• Develop automatic reporting for stock levels and approve stock orders to ensure appropriate levels of product available at all times, and account for seasonal increases due to predictable business cycles.

• Work with SalesManager to develop and continuously improve pricing strategies from all brands on the website.

• Act as the primary data manager for the Ecommerce solution established by the organization.

• Work with the General Manager to maintain accurate data in the ERP and ensure that system numbers reflect physical numbers consistently.

• Work with the warehouse supervisor to fulfill sales orders and provide back-up in the smallwares department on pull from stock requests.

• Establish reorder protocols to ensure chemical stock levels are maintained at all times.

• Assist with cycle counts and annual inventory counts.

• Assist with inventory transfers from warehouse to another.

• Operates forklift when necessary and provides backup to the warehouse.

• Understanding of inventory control procedures as well as data management procedures.

• Finely tuned attention to detail and organization skills.

• Ability to learn new computer systems quickly and become a super user and train others on new systems.

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

• Navigating warehouse and reaching items above and below eye-level.

• Adjusting or moving objects up to 40 pounds in all directions.

Position type/expected work hours:

This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM - 5PM. This position offers eligibility for health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, supplemental insurance and 401(k) matching along with paid holidays, vacation, and sick time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
