Keller Warehousing & Co-Packing is looking for an Inventory Specialist to join our team at our Huntingdon location! Located at 9690 Hwy 22, Huntingdon, TN 38344. If you're looking for long-term employment with a company you can grow with, this is the position for you!
Must pass a drug screen and a criminal background check prior to employment.
Pay: $20 / hour. WE PAY WEEKLY!
Hours: TBD by manager; will be discussed upon interview
Job Overview:
- Assist warehouse manager and/or supervisor to ensure customer's needs are met on assigned shift
- Manage cycle counts
- Maintain inventory records
- Work closely with Keller facility managers/supervisors and client personnel to resolve any inventory inaccuracies
- Work to determine root cause of discrepancy and establish new or modified SWI's to avoid issue recurrence

What we're looking for:
- Experience with WMS to process incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Supervisory/leadership skills, particularly in a manufacturing, supply chain or logistics position
- Close attention to detail
- Knowledge of Company Procedures.
- Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating system.
- Skill in the use of common office machinery.
- Ability to work safely, follow safety procedures, and operate equipment safely.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Supervisor and other associates.
- Ability to take job orders from Supervisor and get along with others in the organization.
- Ability to count and document accurately.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Participate in corrective and preventative actions and continuous improvement projects.
What you'll be doing:
- Perform regular cycle counts and audits.
- Maintain records consolidating cycle count issues from all shifts.
- Update spreadsheets daily and work with HG personnel and vendors directly to resolve issues.
- Maintain proper monthly cycle count metrics.
- Communicate effectively and timely to management for proper adjustments to be made.
- Respond timely and professionally to all inventory requests made by vendors and client personnel.
- Provide efficient, courteous customer service through email and telephone.
- Resolve routine customer questions and complaints, or refer to higher level.
- Maintain records, prepare required reports, and perform related typing/word processing and clerical duties.
- Direct contact with forklift drivers and shuttle drivers.
- Participate in corrective and preventative actions and continuous improvement projects.
- Verify shipping and receiving accuracy of product as documented in KOS.
- Answer phones and take accurate messages.
- This position may require employee to operate a forklift from time to time, which will include the following:
o Daily forklift inspection. Check for damage or problems and report them to your Supervisor.
o Lock out / tag out unsafe or inoperable equipment.
o Load, unload, and place product in proper storage bay stacked straight and neat.
o Report immediately any and all incidents occurring on the forklift
o Accurately input information as trained with scanner, documenting all functions performed.
o Change propane tanks properly and safely as needed.
