The Inventory Specialist is responsible for posting all used inventory transactions to the general ledger. This includes, wholesales, auction purchases, and other used vehicle purchases.
Essential Requirements

• An understanding of General Accounting Principals
• High computer proficiency and 10-key
• Experience in automotive accounting
• A good understanding of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word

Essential Responsibilities

• Review documents for compliance, completeness, and proper approval
• Ensure all inventory is posted to the general ledger timely, accurately and within company guidelines
• Lease Turn Ins
• Street Purchases
• Used auction purchases
• Third party (non-auction) purchases
• Other related inventory transactions
• Ensure all auction sales are posted to the general ledger timely and within company guidelines
• Ensure compliance with all audit key controls
• Other duties as assigned
• Communicate with dealership personnel in a professional manner

Relationships

• Dealership GMs, Accounting Managers/Controllers, office managers and new vehicle managers
• DSC and Regional Management
