Inventory Specialist

Peterson Cat has a need for a Rental Inventory Specialist at our Eugene, OR location.

SUMMARY

The Rental Inventory Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support in the day-to-day operations of the rental department. This position performs administrative tasks related to inventory purchasing, inventory tracking, and service of rental equipment, Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) activities, the creation and maintenance of accurate reports, and other inventory and data entry tasks.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Reconcile the annual fleet plan inventory costs against vendor invoices and approve invoices for payment in C-Tab.
• Input new inventory into Dealer Business System (DBS) software.
• Update rental equipment status in DBS after pre delivery inspection to show the inventory available for rent.
• Set up, transfer, monitor, and identify write offs of merchandise inventory in DBS
• Communicate with other departments regarding warranty, Customer Value Agreement (CVA) enrollments, machine scoring, and Product Identification Number (PIN) once a unit is ready to rent.
• Assist with DMV activities related to the purchase of inventory including:
• Initial registration, titling and data entry into I-rents.
• Registration renewals.
• Temporary permits.
• Assist with DMV audits as required.
• Assist with maintaining the Fleet Purchase Order Log
• Perform other inventory and data entry tasks for the rental department as required.
• Travel up to 10% of the time to branch locations to perform on-site inventory related tasks
• Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
• Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates Degree from a fully accredited college in a related field preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of directly related experience in business administration or inventory, preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
