Job Description
We’re looking for a Driver/Inventory Specialist to join our company in the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) team.Working as an Inventory Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our customers by maintaining inventory levels and delivering products in an efficient and timely manner.

Responsibilities
· Deliver orders, check accuracy of shipments, and put away stock at customer locations
· Build long standing relationships with customers by having proactive communication
· Maintain inventory levels derived from system and keep awareness of usage
· Protect our company assets as well as showing the customer a true savings (hard and soft cost)
· Communicate with Lead Inventory Specialist with concerns in process or implementation of the VMI Program
· Follow company policies and procedures
· Communicate with Distribution Manager with situations in the warehouse
· Communicate with all customer personnel in a timely, professional, and courteous manner
· Quickly respond to the customer demand for replenishment and additional product lines in their VMI programs
· Maintain service levels and process efficiencies while providing a continuous departmental improvement
· Picking/Pulling products in a warehouse setting
· Other duties as needed and requested by management
Qualifications
· Have CDL Class B license upon hire
· Must be age 21+ in order to drive a company vehicle & have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
· Forklift experience preferred, but not required
· Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and interpersonal
· Self-motivated and possess a high level of productivity and organization
· Customer-focused attitude and desire to grow with and contribute to the company
· Ability to prioritize, plan and organize responsibilities to achieve goals and objectives
· Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a calm, professional attitude
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift, slide, and lower packages that typically weigh up to 50lbs
· Frequent twisting, bending, and standing for 7+ hours a day
· Typical work hours: 7:00AM-4:00PM unless otherwise communicated with Lead Inventory Specialist *The end time can vary due to business/customer needs, approval is needed by the supervisor if there is a change in work hours
· Cedar Rapids runs requires a work arrival time of 4:30AM
