We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. The Procurement Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing stocking levels company-wide to ensure optimal inventory of parts and accessories for drill rigs at all times. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of procurement processes in the industrial equipment sector.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain stocking levels of drill rig parts and accessories company-wide.
- Collaborate with branch managers and service technicians to assess inventory needs and determine stocking requirements for each location.
- Implement inventory control measures to ensure accurate tracking and replenishment of parts and accessories.
- Procurement:
- Source and procure drill rig parts, accessories, and consumables from suppliers and manufacturers.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to secure competitive rates and favorable terms.
- Place purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
- Supplier Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliability and responsiveness.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on factors such as quality, lead times, and customer service.
- Address any issues or concerns with suppliers to ensure consistent supply of parts and accessories.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze inventory data and usage patterns to forecast demand and optimize stocking levels.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, procurement activities, and supplier performance for management review.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve inventory management processes and cost-effectiveness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, service, and logistics, to ensure alignment of inventory levels with customer demand and operational needs.
- Coordinate with service technicians to identify critical spare parts and prioritize stocking accordingly.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience (5-years) in procurement, preferably in the heavy equipment or construction machinery sector.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and techniques.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory management systems.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
