Kalitta Companies seeks an self motivated Inventory Manager to streamline receiving functions working alongside operation managers and department leads. The Inventory Manager is expected to take ownership and manage all serialized and non-serialized part numbers as they arrive and ship, from receiving new product, generating repair orders for outbound parts, receiving repaired products, auditing inventory, and managing physical warehouse locations with the stockroom team. The Inventory Manager role will be responsible for daily records for sales, orders, returns, consumption of inventory and shipments to identify which products need to be replenished.
The Inventory Manager will track inventory with our Netsuite inventory management and supply chain software that calculates perpetual demand. Additional duties and responsibilities may include: Designing and implementing an inventory tracking process for optimized inventory control procedures Examine the levels of inventory from the inventory software system to determine shortages, min and max values and safety stock required to keep the maintenance operation performing at peak levels. Manage stockroom team for recording daily shipments or inventory consumption and deliveries to replenish inventory and perform weekly cycle counts to maintain accuracy of inventory valuations.
Monitor the Purchase Orders and approve purchases for inventory replenishment and receipt of same. Monitor and review Netsuite detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels for discrepancies. Evaluating new inventory and assuring it meets FAA compliance standards Properly order new supplies avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies for cost savings Analyze various vendors to ensure the company is receiving the best cost-effective prices Hire and train new employees when required Coordinate with the stockroom team to ensure the timely and correct shipping of components for repair Ensure that all serviceable materials are kept segregated from all unserviceable materials wherever our materials are stored Oversee the receipt of all packages, checking for evidence of mishandling or shipping damage, and ensure the steps necessary to recover costs of damages are initiated with the vendor The Inventory Control Specialist provides oversight into material movement, cost and processes for all departments within the 5 Kalitta entities.
Prepares written standard operating procedures documentation regarding tracking incoming and outgoing material shipments. Audits the DOD and NIST compliance standards to maintain this level of consistency throughout the year in preparation for the annual audit. Performs manual rotating cycle counts to ensure report material is physically available
