Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Manager to oversee all aspects of inventory control and management at our cannabis dispensary. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, exceptional organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of cannabis products and regulations. As Inventory Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate inventory tracking, optimizing stock levels, and maintaining compliance with state and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records for all cannabis products, including flower, concentrates, edibles, and accessories.
- Oversee inventory ordering, receiving, and stocking processes, ensuring timely replenishment and appropriate stock levels to meet customer demand.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage, loss, and discrepancies, conducting regular audits and reconciliations as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to track incoming shipments, verify product quality and quantity, and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to forecast inventory needs, monitor product trends, and identify opportunities to optimize inventory turnover and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations governing cannabis inventory management, including seed-to-sale tracking systems, packaging and labeling requirements, and inventory reporting.
- Train and supervise inventory staff, providing guidance on proper inventory procedures, safety protocols, and compliance standards.
- Utilize inventory management software and tools to track inventory movements, generate reports, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the cannabis industry or a regulated retail environment.
- Thorough understanding of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods, with knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize inventory performance.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in inventory tracking and record-keeping.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and systems, with experience using seed-to-sale tracking platforms preferred.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a background check as required by state regulations.
