The Inventory Control Coordinator will perform the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Provides dock support for Inbound and Outbound operations when necessary available to receive, pick, pack and ship. Applies learned Inventory Control skills in the WMS environment to execute problem resolution.

 


  • Works with the receiving supervisor to address any concerns regarding items being placed in bin locations, products, and/or vendor errors
  • Maintains wave shorts, problem orders and pick shorts
  • Maintains all pick locations with replenishing stock from wave tasks
  • Ensures product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers
  • Support Receiving/Putaway (Item labels, Item Identification, location maintenance, new item setup)
  • Monitors and actions all daily inventory reports and barcode issues
  • Performs the duties of a WMS Super User for Inventory
  • Ensures that SKU’s are dimension (DIM) compliant with Cubiscan
  • Ensures Daily Web reports are maintained and resolved
  • Ensures the inventory counts are completed accurately for quarterly/annual (no less than once every twelve months)
  • Completes daily cycle count assignments
  • Researches variances between actual physical stock count and systemic balance and adjusts stock to the correct amount(s)
  • Monitors the rotation of products, and ensures the condition of products in the assigned area is up to standard for sale. Ensures proper stock rotations to minimize obsolete inventory
  • Communicates and works directly with Procurement on the status of any dated product
  • Responsible for quality on all products, including checking & recording all date sensitive items
  • Works on “stock on hand” shortages and “wrong product shipped” claims to correct possible stocking errors
  • Performs analysis of current inventory and/or usage, and ensures the proper placement of product in the warehouse bins throughout the warehouse, placing new product in the warehouse taking into consideration size of item, quantity, etc; and consolidating multiple bin
  • Researches lost product and pallet situations and update inventory system
  • Adheres to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties
  • Operates an order selector, reach truck, forklift or an electric pallet jack safely in order to move products into correct zones for stocking
  • May be required to work off-shifts
  • Other duties as required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4 years of related experience
  • 1 year experience in Inventory Control or 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment
  • Experience operating machinery including reach truck, forklift and/or electric pallet jack. (willing to train)
  • Work within time constraints in a fast paced environment

  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills
  • Act with integrity in all ways and at all times, remaining honest, transparent, and respectful in all relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills- written and verbal. Communicates effectively with various departments, managers, and peers
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Detail oriented
  • Team player with the ability to work independently with limited direction
  • Effective time management and organizational skills are essential
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suites (Word, Outlook. Excel, etc.)
  • Proficient in WMS and Trend operating systems
  • MHE experience or willing to train
