Introduction
The Wisconsin State Records Center is recruiting for an Inventory Control Coordinator - Advanced.
This position is located at the State Records Center at 4622 University Avenue Madison, WI 53705.
The mission of the State Records Centers is to develop and implement a comprehensive state-wide records management program to assure that records are maintained and retrievable until their authorized disposition. Provide program leadership, technical assistance and high-quality service to customers, to manage the creation, dissemination, utilization, organization, retrieval, retention and eventual disposition of records.

Position Summary
The position reports to the State Records CenterInventory Control Supervisor, works independently, and is responsible for controlling the daily activities and movement of all inventory categories within the State Records Center. This includes determining and implementing appropriate storage plans and functional procedures for a variety of inventory types (especially those possessing special handling and storage requirements), distribution of inventory, inventory management, restocking of inventory, order processing (both electronic and paper orders), review requests for new orders and recommend products/services, electronic and paper record keeping, disposition of inventory, pickup and delivery of customer orders and returns, equipment maintenance, facility maintenance, inventory security, make personal contacts with customers to fulfill needs and inquiries, make personal contact with agencies for pickup instructions, maintenance and upkeep of assigned delivery vehicles and physical maintenance of assigned areas.

Salary Information
The hourly rate for this position will be $19.55 - $20.72 per hour depending on qualifications plus excellent benefits. This classification is assigned to pay schedule/range 03-11. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the compensation plan. A 12-month probationary period will be required.
Job Details
Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct fingerprinting and background checks on applicants prior to selection. DOA does not sponsor work visas. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.
These positions require: comply with random drug and alcohol testing in addition, meet DOA Fleet driving standards including a minimum of two years driving experience with a standard class D, driver's license; Ability to utilize pallet jacks, carts and ladders or similar throughout the day; Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; bend, stoop, twist, pull and push; climb up and down ladders; and reach overhead to pull and place boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation. Well qualified applicants will have the ability to obtain and maintain a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brakes.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants will have experience:
• Process confidential records in accordance with administrative rules, policies, and procedures.
• Utilizing excellent customer service skills.
• Utilizing an inventory database via desktop computer or hand held scanning equipment.
