Form of workThe Inventory Control Clerk will be responsible for performing and keying cycle counts, working with leadership to analyze operations cycle counts, and maintaining inventory integrity. This position may also be responsible for one or more of the following job duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Participate in inventory counts as directed
• Performing quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company’ standards
• Load dunnage, maintain inventory
• Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders in the business
• Reporting discrepancies in inventory
• Implementing loss prevention programs
• Resolve discrepancies including quantity errors, high/low issues, mis-ships
• Understand and adhere to the safety rules and requirements in the workplace
• Responsible for filling out equipment report before usage
• Responsible for meeting operational inventory efficiency goals and benchmarks
• Operate other warehouse equipment, as needed
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least six-months related experience required
• Must have minimum 6 months forklift experience, within the last 18 months
Preferred Qualifications
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Mathematical and analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
Physical Requirements
• Physical demands may include walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping
• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling up to 45 lbs
