GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Implements and monitors the Inventory Control functions in the Production and Finished Goods Warehouses. Ensure all material is correctly accounted for to avoid shortages and support the production and shipment of parts, accessories, golf, and utility vehicles to meet customer demands. Leads the Inventory Control department research and root cause investigations of inventory errors and develops and implements corrective actions to resolve inventory inaccuracies.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Monitors all inventory techniques used to move parts to and from the Service Parts Warehouse physically. Develops procedures necessary to maintain accurate inventory and shipping practices.
2. Develop and maintain the barcoding system, including the bar code printer, bar code reading equipment, and appropriate policies and procedures for placing bar code labels.
3. Maintains status of open customer orders; enters part number changes, adds special charges, makes notation of parts not available, notes items on backorder, adds freight charges, or changes shipping instructions as appropriate; releases order for processing and prints adjusted order invoices.
4. Conducts training on all aspects of the bar code system, including using the bar code label printing software and PC; educates team members on Inventory Control policies and procedures.
5. Ensures all locations/parts are properly barcoded in compliance with STD practices.
6. Develop additional applications of the bar code system as required.
7. Maintains cycle count program to identify and correct inventory inaccuracy problems effectively.
8. Ensures timely and accurate data entry of inventory movement information for items moved into or out of the Service Parts warehouse.
9. Provide training on specified warehouse operations and policy and procedures to all Service Parts associates and co-associates.
10. Matches orders and copies of picking lists to the printed invoices. Logs matched orders/invoices into the tracking log.
11. Prepares reports needed to track departmental performance against specified measurement goals and inventory accuracy reports.
12. Responsible for accurately maintaining the literature inventory. Receives, locates, and invoices all literature, promotional items, and pro shop items.
13. Coordinates invoice batch updates with Treasury Services.
14. Receives non-standard requests and follows through the order fulfillment process.
15. Performs other related duties as required.
Education:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
Experience:
- Minimum one year of related experience.
- Working knowledge of material handling equipment and warehouse operations preferred.
- Mechanical and technical skills.
- Safety management mindset.
- Focus on quality control.
- Problem solving.
- Requires occasional lifting of objects of objects 25 to 50 pounds.
- Work requires periodic stooping/bending and frequent walking/standing.
- Work involves activities that require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, or vehicles.
