In this role, you'll team up with our Talent Acquisition Manager to spearhead the development, implementation, and administration of an enriching intern program. Your mission? To craft a transformative experience for our interns, providing them with unparalleled support and guidance as they embark on their professional journey.


As the bridge between our organization and educational institutions, you'll collaborate with all disciplines to ensure both the success of our interns and the alignment of Intern experiences with our organizational goals.

Your Main Duties and Responsibilities

(Includes but, not limited to)


Strategic Program Development:

  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager in developing and implementing a comprehensive Internship Program that aligns with the mission and objectives of 7 Oaks Healthcare and Big Bend Hospice. *

  • Develop program components that include: *

  • Measurable learning objectives for participants

  • Training for department leaders hosting interns

  • Evaluation

  • Continuous program improvement initiatives


Recruitment and Partnerships:

  • Formalize internship processes by creating Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents to ensure clarity and consistency in program execution. *

  • Partner with Department Leaders to screen and select interns from diverse academic backgrounds, fostering a dynamic and inclusive internship cohort. *

  • Act as the primary liaison between educational institutions, students, faculty, and community partners, delivering exceptional customer service and building strong relationships. *

  • Utilize various platforms including HandShake, Nole Network, and Indeed to effectively advertise internship opportunities, ensuring broad visibility and attracting a diverse pool of qualified candidates. *

  • Coordinate all aspects of intern activities, including placement, orientation, training, and ongoing support throughout the internship experience. *

  • Assist in fostering positive relationships with educational institutions, faculty members, and community partners to promote the Internship Program and enhance recruitment efforts. *

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date Internship Program records, including student applications, participant agreements, and program evaluations, using appropriate documentation management systems such as Microsoft SharePoint.*


Intern Engagement and Development:

  • Partner with the Training and Development Team to prepare interns for orientation and training sessions to familiarize interns with company policies, procedures, and culture. *

  • Assign interns to departments and projects based on their skills, interests, and learning objectives, ensuring meaningful and relevant experiences. *

  • Monitor intern performance and provide ongoing feedback and mentorship to support their growth and development. *

  • Organize and facilitate regular meetings, events, and enrichment activities to foster camaraderie, networking, and professional development among interns. *

  • Maintain accurate records of intern activities, evaluations, and other relevant data to track program effectiveness and compliance. *


General:

  • Technology: Remains proficient with general office technology, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Forms, and Outlook. *

  • Applicant Tracking System (ATS): Help manage the recruitment process by organizing candidate information, job postings, and communication with applicants. *

  • Actively track tasks, engage in recruitment projects, and collaborate with the team. *

  • Complete documentation and required reports by deadlines set by Supervisor *

  • Other duties as assigned.

:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Fast learner who can easily adapt to new situations and learn new skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and customer-focused approach.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), preferred.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to upholding Big Bend Hospice's values and mission.

  • Must possess a valid Florida Drivers' License, valid auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of clinical environment, educational programs and internship requirements.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Health Services or related field.

  • Previous experience in recruitment coordination or coordinating Internship Programs, highly desirable.

  • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
