Eligibility criteria:
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with a graduation date in 2025 or 2026
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization or sponsorship for this position now or in the future.
- 10 week commitment for 40 hours per week with availability to start June 10th 2024
- Must be able to commute to the office to work at least 3 days onsite
Position Overview:
Exciting Internship Opportunity! Are you passionate about law and eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic corporate environment? Look no further! As the Legal Intern at Samsung SDS America, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of legal projects and collaborate with our esteemed legal team, helping to shape the future of legal operations in the ICT industry. With mentorship and support every step of the way, you’ll have the tools you need to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
As our Legal Intern, you’ll support various legal projects, from knowledge management and organization to legal research and contract review. Dive into updating and managing contract templates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with team members across different departments, providing support to various teams.
This role is based in our office in Ridgefield Park, NJ and expected to work on a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research.
- Assist in drafting policies, procedures, communications, memorandums, and standard document.
- Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Draft and proofread legal documents and correspondence.
- Organize and maintain legal documents and research data.
- Manage contracts, including updating contract templates.
- Handle administrative tasks and support the legal team.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a J.D. or Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
