Eligibility criteria:

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with a graduation date in 2025 or 2026
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization or sponsorship for this position now or in the future.
• 10 week commitment for 40 hours per week with availability to start June 10th 2024
• Must be able to commute to the office to work at least 3 days onsite

Position Overview:

Ready to dive into the world of Solutions Architecture? Join us at Samsung SDS America as the solutions Architect Intern and unlock the opportunities to make an impact on the Samsung SDS Cloud team. With mentorship and support every step of the way, you'll have the tools you need to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

As a Solutions Architect Intern, you will have an opportunity to work closely with the Cloud Planning Team and be involved in different projects on cloud-based solutions such as HPC, Data Cloud, and Security solutions.  The intern will have an opportunity to learn and gain experience in various technologies include Samsung Cloud, Redhat, Security among others while collaborating with the hiring manager, local mentor and global teams.

This role is based in our office in Ridgefield Park, NJ and expected to work on a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior solution architects to design and propose innovative technical solutions for client projects
• Participate in client meetings and discussions to gather requirements and understand business needs
• Assist in creating and presenting solution proposals, including architecture diagrams, to clients and internal stakeholders
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop project plans and timelines for solution implementation
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and industry trends to stay updated and provide insights on potential solutions

Requirements

• Interest to learn about and deliver cloud-based solutions to customers
• Knowledge of one of the programming languages like Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C++

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Networking fundamentals including Security, Storage or Databases (Relational and/or NoSQL), Operating Systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows)
• Experience with one or more of the following domains: systems administration (Linux/Window), network administration (DNS, IPsec, BGP, VPN, Load Balancing), or programming (Node.JS, Java, Ruby, C#, Python, or PHP)
