What we’re looking for
Toyota’s Americas Oceania Region (AOR) International Operations Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated International Operations Country Consultant.
Reporting to the Group Manager, Americas & Oceania Region, the primary function of the AOR Country Consultant is to provide operational and strategic support to the management teams of the assigned AOR Sales Finance Companies (SFCs) and act as the AOR subject matter expert (SME) on assigned SFCs for AOR management.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide Guidance and Oversight acting as a second line of defense by creating an environment to support the SFCs' success while providing peace of mind to shareholders.
- Drive Performance at the SFCs to achieve targets.
- Drive Strategy to meet regional and global Toyota expectations, while achieving local market expectations.
- Help set metrics, targets, and objectives and work with SFCs through the planning process.
- Define guidelines and parameters under which SFCs need to operate.
- Work with SFCs to clarify, and share best practices around TFSC strategic initiatives on the value chain.
- Monitor and analyze SFC strategic planning process, financial, and operational performance evaluation and SFC approval process, mid-term business planning, current year forecast, quarterly forecasts, and monthly management reports.
- Coordinate and act as a liaison between SFCs, regional support departments, and senior management for approvals, advice, open issues, and general coordination.
- Communicate to existing locations of operational and strategic guidelines and policies established at a Regional (or Toyota Financial Services Corporation (TFSC)) level, to ensure clear understanding and implementation by local management.
- Prepare SFC presentations to AOR and/or TFSC management to inform them of progress and obtain feedback and direction.
- Represent as an SME assigned AOR SFCs to all stakeholders (a thorough understanding of the SFC business at the Gemba is necessary).
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) required.
- Operational sales and marketing experience.
- Automotive industry experience.
- Strong analytical and research skills; strong attention to detail.
- Strong reporting experience and skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit; proven ability to create new businesses, new markets, and new products.
- Strong project management skills, and ability to take a project from inception to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and story-telling skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel); ability to use/learn quickly software applications as needed.
- Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time, including internationally.
Added bonus if you have
- Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese.
- Captive automotive industry experience.
- Advanced degree in International Business.
- Experience establishing, enforcing, and reviewing operational policies and procedures.
