Intern - Vehicle Integration & Validation

The Vehicle Integration & Validation Engineering Intern will be responsible for providing technical support for vehicle validation, including full vehicle performance validation testing and vehicle attribute targets support and assessment. This position is within the Vehicle Integration team, and interfaces with all vehicle engineering and KICC within Karma Automotive.

Must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week during the June - September time frame.

Responsibilities (included, but are not limited to):

• Supports vehicle performance and targets validation testing and issues tracking. Occasionally drive vehicles for extended periods of time for testing purposes.
• Applies analytical skills to generate testing status and engineering issues report.
• Assists in engineering tasks including, but not limited to, benchmarking, target setting, and cascading.
• Performs verification of vehicle and components weight status and manage weight tracking document in coordination with attribute leads.
• Opportunities to drive Karma vehicles and learn about vehicle testing tools.
• Other duties, as assigned.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Related Technical Field
• Formula SAE team Captain who is also technical and holistic thinker
• Good understanding of vehicle systems, sub-systems, and components (Preferably EV)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Experience with CAD (CATIA preferred).
• Good analytical skills and detail oriented.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may spend 100% (excluding breaks and meal periods) of time in an office environment.

Compensation:
$25/per hour - $35/per hour. Compensation will vary depending on the candidate's current level of education.
