Job Description:
The Microchip Systems division is looking for an intern to join the Planning Team at the Mount Holly Springs Facility. The ideal candidate would be enrolled in Supply Chain or Management Information Systems degree with related course work to material planning, warehouse management, and information systems. The Intern will have the opportunity to experience working cross functionally with Operations, Purchasing, and Quality.
- Weekly preparation of revenue data to support Focus Factory reporting
- Assist in reviewing action messages to drive inventory and production work order alignment.
- Download weekly files that summarizes material constraints to highlight to planning where system adjustments need to be made to support kitting.
- Aid in approving the issuance of material in excess against current production work orders.
- Develop solutions for capacity constraints measuring and monitoring
- Participate in weekly planning team meetings
- Support the Planning Department with various tasks in standardizing processes and work instructions
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Pursuing a full-time bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Management Information Systems, or related Engineering with a focus in Supply Chain.
- Ability to work from the Mount Holly Springs, PA office a minimum of 15-20 hours per week during the school year and the opportunity to go full time over the summer.
- US Citizen is required due to exposure to components and documentation regulated by ITAR
- Experience leading process improvement projects
- Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills, able to synthesize considerable and complex data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel desired).
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels.
- Strong communication, organization skills.
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
- Ability to work in a team setting and in a cross-functional environment.
