Purpose of Position
The purpose of the co-op/internship position is to develop college students that are pursuing a degree in business, economics, finance or related fields. The credit and market operations intern will be exposed to a variety of projects and operations that occur within the renewable energy business and will assist in all credit-related risk management and energy market activities. The role supports the department with monitoring collateral positions, accuracy and timely reporting and compliance with the risk management policy. The position is temporary, nonexempt and part-time/hourly.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
Assist with detailed financial analysis on counterparties to qualify their creditworthiness and recommend appropriate exposure limits
Assist with obtaining credit support (parental guarantees, letters of credit)
Review/summarize trading and energy sales contracts
Assist in preparation and distribution of reports
Assist in monitoring compliance with counterparty risk policies, procedures, limits and guidelines.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
College junior or senior pursing a bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, or related field
Effective oral and written communication and project management skills
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office products)
Available May 2023 and summer months (potential to continue part-time in school year)
