ALM’s intelligence division provides proprietary data, analysis, and tools designed to provide our clients with unique business intelligence to power critical decisions and market differentiation. Our analysts and researchers leverage their extensive industry knowledge and ALM’s vast data repositories to deliver cutting-edge analysis and insight in the legal, management consulting, financial advisory, insurance and risk verticals.
In the course of their duties, the intern will have the opportunity to become familiar, gain exposure, and work within the intelligence division’s Analyst (Legal and Pacesetter) and Research/Data teams.
Responsibilities
For the Legal Analyst team:
- Conducting online research, including collecting information and market data on law firms, using law firm websites and other sources. This includes capturing metrics on law firm real estate and overall business activity
- In line with the desktop research requested by the Legal Analyst team, collecting extensive information about law firm (Am Law 200 + 100) services, as well as case studies (experience)
- Provide support to the Research team in the planning, writing and fielding of surveys that underpin ALM’s industry-leading reports and rankings. Assist the Data team in its ongoing effort to collect, integrate and maintain the data that drives Law.com Compass, ALM’s flagship legal competitive and business intelligence tool
- Length of Program: 6-8 weeks
- Internship Dates: June 2024 - August 2024 (The start date is subject to change)
- Location: In-Person (NYC or Philadelphia Office)
- Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
- Part Time Hours: 20-24 hours per week (No overtime)
- Hourly rate: $16.00
