Job Description
Maternal Health Internship (Paid/Casual Role)
JOIN THE TEAM! Beverly’s Babies, a division of Beverly’s Birthdays, celebrates, strengthens, and empowers families by recognizing the BIRTHday. This division supports over 4,000 babies a year across Western Pennsylvania. One of its foundational programs is its Free Community Baby Showers which are held across the region to support pregnant people or those with a newborn (0-3 months).
These events act as a resource hub to connect vulnerable families to various community partners in the maternal and infant health field. Each shower features an education session on public health topics related to the perinatal period and families are provided with critical baby care items. This is all done through the vehicle of celebration–themed décor, games, prizes, and joy are always a part of the showers!
The Beverly’s Babies team is excited to begin a new initiative, the Triangle of Care, which is a collaboration with two other highly respected Maternal Health partners in the region. The goal of the Triangle of Care initiative is to support families through celebration, education, mentorship, and empowerment. The initiative seeks to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity in Pennsylvania by focusing on three pillars – 1) doula care 2) maternal mental and physical wellbeing 3) education and support.
