Position: Product Design Engineering Intern (June-August 2023)

Academic Schedule: June – August 2023 (full-time, 40 hours per week, 12 week internship)
About the experience:
ITT Aerospace Controls is a leading manufacturer of airborne and industrial products that are able to withstand extremely harsh environments. Our products are depended upon on aircraft all over the world. We are looking for a recent mechanical engineering graduate or student entering their senior year to work a full-time internship for a minimum of three months (summer 2023) with the possibility of an extension.

Responsibilities:
This position will involve research, design, analysis, testing, and documentation for products such as composite and metal components, acoustic mufflers, heaters, wing anti-icing systems, environmental control systems.
Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field and in good standing
- NACME scholar (preferred but not required)
- Junior and Senior students are preferred
- Knowledge/experience in ProE CAD, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident due to export regulations
- 40 hours per week (12 week internship)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Creo Parametric (formerly Pro/Engineer) CAD system
• Experience with FEA software, specifically Creo Simulate
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
• Design experience
• Testing experience
• Specific experience in the aerospace industry and knowledge of the processes employed is a plus
