The Role

Mission:

Are you a full-time undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Engineering or Marketing?  Are you interested in gaining real-world experience working in a global, international Company?  If yes, this internship is for you!

Power Technique North America (a company within the Atlas Copco Group) is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student to join our team during Summer, 2024 as a full-time, PAID intern.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The person selected for this opportunity will work with the Business Line Manager/VP for Service Marketing and the National Data & Connectivity Manager to:

• Assists in analyzing parts inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability, minimizing shortages while avoiding excessive inventory. 
• Participate in projects aimed at enhancing the connectivity of our machines, including IoT (Internet of Things) integration, data collection, and analysis to improve machine efficiency and customer experience.
• Help maintain and update the parts database, ensuring accuracy in parts numbers, descriptions, and pricing.
• Collaborate with the engineering, marketing, and sales teams to understand parts requirements and connectivity solutions that meet customer needs and support business objectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and suggesting enhancements in parts management and connectivity processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

What we expect of you? 

Experience:

• Experience gained through a previous relevant internship is preferred, but not required.
• Experience related to Engineering or Marketing
• Experience with Excel and/or SAP.
• Experience with Python or PowerBI is a plus.

Education:

• To qualify for this internship, you should be:
  • a rising junior, senior or graduate student at an accredited college or university
  • with a major in Engineering or Marketing
  • with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • eligible to work within the United States without Company support for work authorization
  • able to provide your own housing for the 10 weeks of the internship program
• Able to commit to participation in a full-time, 10-week internship program working up to 40 hours per week starting on Monday, June 5, 2024, and continuing until Friday, August 11, 2024.

Skills:

• Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college, university or technical/vocational institution.
• Eligible to work in the United States without company assistance.
• Majoring in an area of study related to the position.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Possess strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Have excellent attention to detail, be well-organized and show initiative.
• Have a strong understanding of MS Word & Excel.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities.
