REQUIREMENTS

Description 

 

IT Helpdesk & POS Support: The IT Interns will learn how to set up and support new stores (through POS imaging, other IT equipment, troubleshooting payment pin pads, and more). They will also learn about and provide support to incoming Help Desk phone calls pertaining to POS issues.

 

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited university/college
  • 1-2 years of work or volunteer experience
  • Passion for fashion and retail industry
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong desire for continuous learning and professional development
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to balance multiple assignments at once
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision
  • Must be at least 18 years of age 

 

Internship Guidelines

  • This is a paid ($16.00/hr) summer internship from June 17 – August 2.  
  • Boot Barn does not offer travel or housing stipends.
  • Students must be able to make a commitment of full-time employment (Monday – Friday 8:30AM-5PM)
  • The program will be based out of our Irvine Store Support Center, located in Irvine, CA. Remote work will not be offered.

Physical Demands

  • Standing, walking and squatting less than fifty percent of the work shift.
  • Required to lift, move and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation and reports.

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Manual dexterity required using hands to finger; handle, feel and type; reach with hands and arms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use discipline specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist with various projects, presentations, and business improvement opportunities.
  • Lead a department/function specific project from start to finish and present project deliverable(s) to senior leadership for consideration.
  • Note: Function-specific responsibilities will be outlined during the interview process.
