Job Overview:
Come and join our Creative Services team as our talented and motivated Graphic Design Intern to join our Creative Services as a Graphic Design intern, you will be supporting our team of designers in all aspects of design, including but not limited to, print and digital media, package design, email marketing and social media. This is an excellent opportunity for a design student or recent graduate, (Spring 2023,) to gain practical experience and contribute to real-world design projects.
Package Design Support
•Collaborate with the design team to create and modify package designs for our pet products, ensuring they align with brand guidelines and appeal to our target audience.
•Assist in preparing final artwork files for production, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Web Design Assistance
•Contribute to the creation of visually appealing and user-friendly web designs, including wireframes, mockups, and graphics.
•Assist in optimizing web graphics and assets for performance and responsiveness across various devices.
Design Material Development
•Support the development of various design materials, such as brochures, promotional banners, social media graphics, and point-of-sale displays.
•Collaborate with the design team to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all materials.
Design Research and Trends
•Conduct research on design trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences in the pet industry.
•Provide insights and recommendations based on research findings to enhance design strategies and align with market demands.
Creative Collaboration
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and sales, to understand project requirements and deliver effective design solutions.
•Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas to enhance the overall creative process.
Minimum Qualifications
- Sophomore year or above in pursuing Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Excellent computer skills, including Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and professionalism

Education Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a relevant design program or recently graduated in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with web design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma).
- Strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and understanding of design principles.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design ideas.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
