About the Position
Grey Oaks' 2024 Club Management Internship provides interns with an exciting, comprehensive, and hands-on experience through all facets of one of the most prestigious private clubs in the country.
Learning directly from a team of highly trained and experienced Golf Course Superintendents, you will be fully immersed in the inner workings of one of the most prestigious and highly rated Clubs in the Country.
Our internship goal is to facilitate your career development and build upon your knowledge, skills and abilities that can take on the challenges of today's ever-changing landscape and set you up for success in the private golf club industry.
Under the direct supervision of the Superintendents and the Director of Agronomy, our interns will participate in the daily maintenance practices of the Estuary, Palm and Pine Golf Courses, driving ranges, nurseries, and landscape areas throughout the club while increasing your knowledge in several of the summer golf course Maintenance processes and protocols.

Considered one of the premier Country Clubs in Florida, Grey Oaks opened in 1993 and encompasses the Grey Oaks and Estuary communities, along with 54 holes of championship golf. The Club's facilities include a 63,000-square-foot east clubhouse, 12,000-square-foot golf pro shop, golf performance center, 30,000-square-foot wellness center, sports center, and the pool café, a 22,000-square-foot complex with indoor and outdoor dining overlooking an expansive resort-style pool with a wading entrance, waterfall, and lap lanes. About You

Your Internship Experience includes:
• Participate in the day-to-day maintenance of 54 holes including 2 driving ranges and club grounds.
• Work closely with the Superintendents and Assistants in planning and scheduling procedures.
• Learn daily ground operations procedures.
• Learn and apply skills on pesticide and fertilizer applications, calibrations, and mowing fundamentals.
• Work closely with the irrigation team, relevant to maintenance and repairs.
• Learn proper course set up and water management.
• Learn to operate heavy equipment and assist with summer cultural practices.

• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-end, professional environment
• Good listener
• Desire to make every member experience memorable
• Flexible and eager to learn and take on new challenges
• Prior club experience preferred.
• Candidates can expect to work typically 50-60-hour work week.
Educational Requirements
Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a 4-year Hospitality Program from an accredited university or college
