We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Brookfield Properties U.S. Office Division in New York, NY as an FP&A Intern. This internship program lasts 12 months (beginning June 2024 – May 2025) and includes many exciting training and development opportunities.
- In this role, you will be an integral part of the U.S. Office FP&A team and assist business functions such as forecasting, capital planning, actuals analysis, and various ad-hoc tasks
- Year-round paid internship, with start date of June 2024
- Full-time (40 hrs/week from June to August; Part-time (<20 hrs/week August to June)
- A 12-month commitment is expected
- Mentorship opportunities, coaching and career guidance
- Exposure to corporate culture and work environment
- Ongoing presentations and training
- Emphasis on real estate and alternative investments accounting and/or finance functions
- Rising junior or senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in related major (Accounting, Finance, Business, etc.)
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- The ideal candidate will have excellent presentation and organizational skills
- Strong team player with a good work ethic
- Must be available to work in the office
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Possess mature, tactful and professional demeanor
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work well under pressure and be self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Prior accounting internship or experience is a plus
- Working toward a CPA is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
