The Network Power Group (NPG) is seeking a motivated, student of BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering to provide support to our Comms and Cloud (C&C) business unit located at ADI's Santa Barbara, California Design Center. This is a small office environment of less than 20 employees in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara with a mix of Application Engineering, Analog IC Design, Digital Design, Validation and Engineering. The office designs high performance Power over Ethernet (PoE) products that incorporate analog circuitry, digital hardware and system applications boards.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Circuit theory: Gain deep technical expertise in analog, digital, and switching power supplies
  • Technical writing: application notes, presentations, and test reports
  • Lab Experiments: Debug analog and digital circuits at the PCB level, component evaluation
  • Board design: Create and edit schematics and PCB layout

Minimum qualifications
  • Currently a Junior, Senior or Masters student in Electrical or Computer Engineering

Preferred qualifications
  • Strong course work on Analog and Digital Circuit Analysis
  • Strong course work on Power Electronics
  • Software Skill: Python, C, GUI Development, Microcontrollers, Arduino, Rasberry Pi, Verilog
  • Active in clubs and personal projects related to major
  • Prior internship is a plus
