- Participate in the month end closing process through journal entry creation and input, account reconciliation preparation and data analysis.
- Work with the Accounting manager and Shared Service manager to develop, improve and analyze various processes within the accounting function to improve efficiency and time to complete various tasks.
- Partner with internal & external auditors and complete reporting that ensures compliance with MSA’s financial policies and controls.
- Perform data analysis, trending and reporting for the North American segment and affiliates on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Assist with the planning, implementation and completion of various financial projects which can be localized or global in scope.
- Work with Shared Services Sr. Manager to review and update various Accounting policies and SOX narratives.
Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (Pivot tables)
- Highly organized and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task and change priorities quickly.
- Experience with month end closing process.
- Account reconciliation preparation
- Thorough communication skills; Experience working and communicating with Executive Leadership / Departmental Leadership
Special knowledge, skills and abilities preferred:
- SAP FICO Experience
- Oracle FCCS & ARCS Experience
- Understanding of a Manufacturing Accounting process
- Experience with PowerBI reporting
Education and Experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics. Major in Accounting
- 3-5 years relevant experience
Preferred Experience:
- CPA
