Job Summary:
An Interior Designer is a self-motivated highly organized and detail-oriented professional working solo or as a member of a Design team. The Interior Designer is responsible for the proper execution of all projects that are assigned to him/her. It is the Interior Designer who ensures that all tasks are completed in a most organized, efficient and timely manner, for the successful completion of the project. Interior Designers are required to be able to execute all possible project tasks independently as well as within the structure of a team. The position requires an individual excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to multitask.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize SmartSheets as the primary project management tool to track and manage project progress, schedules, and deadlines.
- Follow the design process and coordinate all design selections, including but not limited to finishes, furniture, lighting, and decor.
- Represent the design firm to clients and vendors in a professional manner, effectively communicating project goals, design concepts, and project updates.
- Task scheduling and completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
- Create and maintain design boards for client meetings and presentations.
- Oversee coordination of all renderings and drafting, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the design process.
- Conduct research on materials, products, and design trends to ensure that design solutions are innovative and current
- Conduct job site walkthroughs with all sub-contractors and vendors to ensure coordination of all design aspects, including but not limited to materials, installation, and finishing details.
- Collaborate with other team members, including architects, contractors, and vendors, to ensure the successful completion of all projects.
- Maintain design team samples and ensure a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the design industry
- Completion of a certified design course or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe creative suite and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational, collaboration, time-management, and both verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Knowledge of design principles, materials, and finishes
- Project management skills and experience using SmartSheets or similar project management software
- Physical ability to carry samples to clients and back to CMR offices.
- Ability to interact with customers, vendors, and colleagues in a professional manner, positively representing the design firm.
- A positive and friendly attitude and willingness to learn.
