Jennifer Ramsey Interiors is a busy and growing Interior Design studio. The ideal candidate will be a team contributor, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and doesn’t mind different and varied responsibilities each day.
This role is a design role and requires a background and/or education in design. The Design Assistant will report directly to the Principal Designer and work alongside the design team on tasks related to the operation of our business. Candidates should be
available to work M-F during our business hours 9-5, approximately 30 hours per week. This is a hybrid role of in person and work from home.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Principal on multiple projects through all phases: concept through installation
- Liaise with clients, contractors and vendors to help implement the design
- Maintain project schedules and binders
- Collect quotes, prepare proposals, place and track orders, prepare project status and financial reports
- Maintain spreadsheets and other documentation regarding budget, client purchases, and marketing efforts
- Source furniture, fixtures and equipment aka FF&E and manage samples
- Oversee and expedite custom furnishings orders, approve CFAs
- Manage returns and/or replacements for damaged or unused items
- Create and update furniture plans and elevations
- Assist in developing presentations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrate knowledge of drafting software and creating construction drawings
- Understand social platforms including Instagram and Pinterest
- Develop knowledge and use of [other programs, i.e. Asana, Studio Designer, Canva]
- Maintains dedication to quality work and client experience
- Strives to learn and grow within a company and independently
- Effectively prioritizes tasks and manage workload, independently and as part of a team
- Communicates kindly and directly both verbally and in writing
- Actively demonstrates leadership abilities within the company and with clients and vendors
- Exhibits the ability to research and learn new materials, required applications and installation needs
- Must have a car and be willing to run errands to clients, vendors and showrooms as needed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
