Job Description
Boley Centers, Inc., a nationally recognized and accredited behavioral health care agency, has an opening for an Intensive Case Manager in our SPIN [Stabilization Planning for Individual Needs] Department. This position assesses service and treatment needs to stabilize housing for clients residing in or entering permanent supported housing. Work in collaboration with the SPIN team. Ensures all needed services are provided to all clients assigned to caseload. Completes appropriate and necessary reports, records, documents, etc. and files in appropriate records.
Education/Licensure:
Bachelor's degree with a major in counseling, social work, psychology, criminal justice, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field (a related human services field is one in which major course work includes the study of human behavior and development) and has a minimum of one year of full time or equivalent experience working with adults experiencing serious mental illness; or bachelor's degree and three years full time or equivalent experience working with adults experiencing serious mental illness. Education must be from an accredited school, college, or university.
Experience:
Minimum of one to three years’ experience working Experience working with high risk individuals and families with minor children. Experience working with veterans. Experience working with Severe Persistent Mental Illnesses. Experience working with Substance misuse and treatment.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of mental illness and symptoms, mental health system and community social services systems. Understanding of Social Determinates of Health, Trauma Informed Care, Adverse Childhood Experiences, impacts of Traumatic Brain Injury, Post Traumatic Stress disorder, and Personality Disorders.
Skills & Abilities:
Good skills and demonstrated abilities in verbal and written communications, coordination/cooperation, follow-through, interpersonal relations, attention to detail, use of basic language and math, following verbal and written procedures and instructions, recording information orally and in writing, internal and external public relations, working independently, verbal and physical crisis intervention techniques, planning, problem solving, negotiating, flexibility to change, decision making, scheduling own and others' work, counseling techniques and evaluation techniques, organizing own and others' work and such others that are usually and customarily considered necessary for satisfactory completion of essential duties.
Special Requirements:
Valid Florida driver's license, own transportation vehicle and vehicle insurance required.
