Summary
You will serve as an Intelligence Analyst on a Cyber Protection Team performing complex intelligence analysis and production tasks for your assigned area of responsibility. You will analyze and evaluate complex information from a variety of sources in preparation for defense against potential cyber intrusions.This position is located at U S MARINE FORCES CYBERSPACE COMMAND in Fort Meade, MD.

Duties
  • You will plan and carry out all assignments necessary to process all-source material and produce pertinent intelligence in your assigned area to meet organization needs.
  • You will identify a need for and know where or how to gather information, as well as being able to obtain, evaluate, organize, and maintain information.
  • You will apply principles, methods, and tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing projects and resources, including technical performance.
  • You will use advanced verbal and written communication techniques to prepare and present briefings on assigned area for senior executives.
  • You will develop networks, build alliances, and collaborate across boundaries to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 111 level 02 within 12 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
  • This position may be subject to polygraph examination.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as:
1. Analyze and evaluate complex information from a variety of sources in preparation for defense against potential cyber intrusions;
2. Prepare new or revise previous analyses, assessments, or other top level cyber intelligence products to present to senior leadership;
3. Maintain liaison with other intelligence agencies and operational forces and represent the command at local, national, and international working groups and meetings.

This position has been designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position in specialty area [111] and as a condition of employment incumbents of the position are required to comply with the DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2, which include:
1. Earn and maintain appropriate credentials from the Cyber IT/CSWF Qualification Matrix (described in SECNAV M-5239.2) associated with the specialty area and level commensurate with the scope of major assigned duties for the position to which you are assigned, and;
2. Participate in a continuous learning program as described in SECNAVINST 1543.2. A minimum of 40 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous learning annually documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.

All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.
A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
