First Databank (FDB) is seeking an Integrations Specialist in the Meducation department.
Position will be based out of Durham, North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
Lead integration efforts
Work with customer success team to design successful plans for API integration.
Work with customers to understand requirements and workflow to determine optimal API integration points.
Attend weekly project meetings with customers.
Work with customers to diagnose and fix technical issues that arise during integration.
Monitor customer issues and performance.
Participate in internal application development
Work with software development, clinical, and customer success teams to identify and prioritize new workflow, content management, and quality assurance tools.
Participate in application development and maintenance on internal applications.
Manage application life cycles, including enhancements, bug fixes, deployment to AWS, and performance/security monitoring.
Lead QM engagement
Work with QM to develop testing strategies for new features.
Manage and prioritize bug fixes with Development and QM.
Required Skills:
Familiarity with HL7 standards
Familiarity with Cerner and Epic systems
Understanding of clinical workflow and data transmission patterns
Competency in SMART/FHIR applications and related issues (e.g., FDI, CORS, SSL, Firewalls).
A strong ability to communicate and interface with customers in a timely manner.
A natural curiosity and tenacity for problem solving and troubleshooting in real time.
Pluses:
AWS/Azure familiarity.
Experience with front end web development including:
JavaScript/AJAX
.NET Framework/Web API/MVC 5
Angular/Typescript
Blazor (wasm)
Experience with full-stack software development and testing using:
C#
SQL
Github/Git
Python
Postman
Required Experience:
Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience/degree)
5+ years of experience working in the healthcare IT domain including:
EMR integration
Systems design and analysis
Workflow mapping and business process review
Technical familiarity with VPNs, firewalls, servers, remote troubleshooting, software/applications installation, authorizations, clinical/hospital systems, etc.

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in Durham, NC. The reasonable estimate, if hired in Durham, is $99,000 – 125,000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in location. If this role is open to candidates outside of location, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
