ABOUT US:
Biodesix is a leading diagnostic solutions company with a focus in lung disease. The Company develops diagnostic tests addressing important clinical questions by combining multi-omics through the power of artificial intelligence. Biodesix offers five Medicare-covered tests for patients with lung diseases. The blood based Nodify Lung® nodule risk assessment testing strategy, consisting of the Nodify XL2® and the Nodify CDT® tests, evaluates the risk of malignancy in pulmonary nodules, enabling physicians to better triage patients to the most appropriate course of action. The blood based IQLung™ strategy for lung cancer patients integrates the GeneStrat® targeted ddPCR™ test, the GeneStrat NGS® test and the VeriStrat® test to support treatment decisions across all stages of lung cancer with results in an average of two to three business days, expediting the time to treatment. Biodesix also leverages the proprietary and advanced Diagnostic Cortex® AI (Artificial Intelligence) platform, to collaborate with many of the world’s leading biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies to solve complex diagnostic challenges in lung disease. OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
Biodesix is seeking a skilled and experienced Integration Developer to join our growing IT Services team to lead, design, develop, and implement integration solutions used in multiple facets of business operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on team player, willing to learn from others, and has experience in leading and developing high-quality, well performing, scalable enterprise application and system integrations. We are looking for someone preferably with exposure to Azure Integration Services, experienced in building new, integrated solutions that connect applications and services on-premises and in the cloud. A technical consulting background is considered an advantage.
The candidate must be at ease working in an Agile environment with little supervision. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement, learning new techniques, tools and technologies, and sharing knowledge with other team members. The Integration Developer will be expected to interact with cross-functional teams, along with the software development team, to understand business needs and communicate solution proposals as well as project statuses.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead, design, develop, test, document and provide production support of various enterprise application and system integrations
  • Make design decisions on the basis of business requirements, performance and security
  • Estimate time needed for completing project tasks, accurately accounting for complexity and effort level
  • Produce high-quality, well performing configurations and code ready for production deployment
  • Communicating key technical project information to other team members
  • Ensuring technical documentation of the integration is adequate and fully reflects the technical solution
  • Stay current with technology and changing trends, providing recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers on the team to elevate technology, consistently apply best practices
  • Take ownership of a given problem, analyze it, design a solution, and implement it - from beginning to end, delivering a high-quality solution, on time
COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of application and systems integration experience
  • Programming experience in Java/JEE or similar languages/platforms
  • Strong in computer science, data structure and messaging concepts, workflow and process modeling
  • Experience leading design and development of both real-time API integrations and scheduled File based integrations
  • Experience with various integration technologies, including iPaaS, REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, CSV as well as sFTP/file systems
  • Experience with one or more relational databases such as MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle
  • Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodology and all phases of SDLC
  • Experience developing in an enterprise environment using source code control
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Enterprise application development
  • Strong understanding of middleware, integration architecture patterns, web services technologies, enterprise messaging patterns, APIs, SOA, ESB, BPM etc
  • Azure Integration Services - Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management Services
  • Salesforce integrations
  • Cloud computing technologies – iPaaS platforms, SaaS applications, IaaS infrastructure
  • Enterprise applications (CRM, ERP, PLM)
  • Azure DevOps
  • Git, GitHub
  • Healthcare Domain Experience
  • Laboratory Management Experience (CUA and FDA Regulations)
  • Competency in Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another related field
  • 3+ years of application and systems integration experience
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
This role shall comply, at a minimum, with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined in:
  • CLIA: Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) Requirements, Title 42 Code of Federal Regulations Part 493
  • CAP: College of American Pathologists (CAP): All Common, General, Director Responsibility and Authority and all test-specific checklists
  • NYS CLEP: New York State Department of Health, Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program (CLEP), New York State Public Health Law, Article 5 Title 5
  • ISO: International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485, Quality Management Systems, Requirements for Regulatory Purposes, 2016
  • All other applicable state and regulatory governing authorities including but not limited to: CA, PA, RI, MD

  • Competitive compensation $110,800 - $130,400
