Intake Worker

Central Jersey Legal Services, Inc. seeks a bi-lingual Spanish and English Intake Worker for its New Brunswick office.

Requirements: Bilingual or multilingual: English & Spanish required. High school graduate or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Should have a working knowledge of interviewing techniques. Familiarity of social service agency functions is desirable. Able to accurately type 30-40 words per minute. Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize telephones. Reliability is a MUST.

Job Description: Under the direction of the Deputy Director, is responsible for incoming telephone calls, screening potential clients, record keeping, and typing. Screening of potential clients via the telephone and/or in person. Responsible for completing client intake forms. Clerical tasks including light typing, light recordkeeping, filing and other general office support functions as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000 - $65,000 DOE.
