Intake Specialist

Legal Services of Northwest Jersey provides comprehensive civil legal assistance for people experiencing poverty in Northwestern New Jersey. Serving residents of Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Sussex, and Warren counties, LSNWJ provides services in family, housing, consumer, bankruptcies, public entitlements, health care access, and expungements. LSNWJ is growing and has an opening for an Intake Specialist position in our Belvidere Office in Warren County, New Jersey.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Manage the front desk and greet clients, guests, and vendors.

· Conduct applicant screening and intake using a legal case management system.

· Handle other tasks associated with client intake and access, including reporting, error checking, creation of files, and closing cases.

· Provide in-person and off-site intake services at court, fairs, and other outreach sites.

Competencies:

· Spanish fluency is a plus.

· High school degree or GED, plus two years of relevant work experience

· Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, compassion, a positive attitude, and a team player.

· Good technology capabilities with the ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new platforms, including e-signature programs, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Zoom, and Legal Server.

· Ability to communicate and write clearly and understandably.

· Valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle for occasional work-related travel or other means of fulfilling responsibility for occasional work-related travel.
