Intake Manager
Location: Homewood, Illinois
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Clinical Program Manager for Redeploy program, the Intake Manager will oversee all aspects of client intake, admission, and engagement within the PSR program (typically business paperwork, screening, and assessment based).
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9a-5p
Responsibilities
The Intake Manager for Redeploy program position may include the following, as well as other duties assigned:
- Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s mission, values, and philosophies.
- Manage the Intake process which is operational Monday – Friday, 5 days a week to take calls from referral sources and other community partners.
- Provide review of intake cases to ensure the service determination is appropriate as needed.
- Facilitate staffing on cases of concern that are escalated and facilitate regular meetings with service providers and PSR staff.
- Hold weekly Intake meetings to discuss cases of concern and issues that impact the Intake department.
- Provide monthly reports on the activity of the Intake department to include the number of cases received, by area and service determination.
- Works with referral agencies to ensure that cases are received and referred for appropriate services.
- Establish and maintain relationships with service providers and referral sources to build program census.
- Address complaints and resolve problems and attends Performance Improvement and Safety Meetings, as scheduled.
- Conducts initial orientation of PSR clients and must be available for consultation after hours and on weekends.
- Complete all relevant training on a timely basis as required by state, contract, and/or licensing agency standards.
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner and maintain client contact as required by program expectations.
- Actively and directly engage with the youth to meet service needs and goals/objectives of the treatment/service plan.
- Interact with the youth to develop a trusting, supportive relationship while assisting the youth in achieving identified goals.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services.
- Reliable telephone.
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
Other Skills
- 2 years’ experience working directly with client within in a mental health setting
- Openness to traveling as needed.
- Works well independently and as a team member
- Multi-task efficiently
- Be flexible in all situations.
Driving and Vehicle Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable personal transportation
- Good driving record
- Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,00/$300,000 bodily injury liability
