Neuhaus Foot and Ankle provides high quality health services to our communities in need through a skilled and compassionate team. We specialize in targeting patients at risk of developing complications and intervening early to prevent more serious consequences. Neuhaus Foot and Ankle currently has fourteen clinics and is growing.
Neuhaus Foot and Ankle is looking for a rockstar individual who enjoys a busy practice environment. The Insurance Verification Specialist is a key member of the operations team, supporting our mission to deliver the best patient experience in healthcare.
This position is based in our administrative office in Berry Hill (south Nashville).
Key responsibilities are:
- verify insurance coverage and complete our Patient Insurance Verification form
- input insurance information into EMR (we use eClinical Works)
- prepare patient estimates for each visit and inform what the patient out-of-pocket responsibility is
- obtain precertification for surgeries
- support our diabetic shoe program and orthotic coverage verification
- manage incoming physician referrals
Other responsibilities may include:
- Assist Patient Care Coordinators as needed
- Giving high fives to colleagues

- you have experience working in a medical setting

- you have a high standard for the work you do
What would make you a stand-out candidate:
- you have at least 3 years working with insurance
- you have at least 3 years working in a fast-paced, customer service position
- you have a previous manager as a reference
