The Surgical Coordinator will greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, provide cost estimates, and collect patient financial responsibility. The Treatment Coordinator will also manage the doctors schedule and any communications with patient and referring offices. Full-time in person position (not remote). Knowledge of insurance and patient billing is required.
- Provide the highest level of customer service while interacting with patients, referring offices, and team members over the phone, in person, and via electronic communication.
- Updates and maintains patient insurance information.
- Maintains doctors surgery schedule
- Partners with the clinical team to ensure we exceed the standard of care
- Collects payments from patients in an effective and professional manner.
- Understanding of oral and maxillofacial treatment plans preferred
- Effectively communicates treatment options and associated costs to the patient.
- Revenue cycle billing of patient accounts
- Maintains confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of customer service experience required.
- Medical or dental experience required.
Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of dental terminology.
- Friendly, inviting, and professional personality and presence.
- Basic office skills such as typing and filing.
- Good organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
Ability to work cross functionally with other team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
