Position Summary:
Create & conduct ongoing training and development programs for insurance department, assist with staff oversight, engage in staff appraisals and acting as interface between the daily operational level and management. Ensure effectiveness and efficiency to achieve department, agency and club goals and to maximize profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design, plan, organize and direct orientation and training for employees.
• Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers, instructors or customer representatives.
• Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.
• Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and guides and course materials such as handouts and visual materials.
• Present information, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures.
• Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills.
• Monitor evaluate and record training activities and program effectiveness.
• Attend meetings and seminars to obtain information for use in training programs, or to inform management of training program status.
• Support and assist agency management and staff.
• Screen, hire, and assign workers to positions based on qualifications.
• Keep up with developments in area of expertise by reading current journals, books and magazine articles.
• Evaluate training materials prepared by instructors, such as outlines, text, and handouts.
• Monitor unit Member Relationships Management (MRM) initiatives to assure effectiveness in achieving MRM objectives.
• Conduct performance evaluations on subordinates in timely manner.
• Ensure sales staff follows agency, club and company policy and procedures.
• Assist staff in handling difficult circumstances or situations regarding clients or potential clients.
• Ability to read and interpret financial reports and insurance compensation communication.
• Ability to interpret & create EPIC reports to assist in the management and oversight of all Insurance employees
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Physical Effort:
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, 3 to 5 years related insurance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates & Licenses
• Property and Casualty license
• Life and Health license
• Attainment of or work toward an appropriate insurance designation (CIC, CPCU, ARM, etc...)
• Other certifications as necessary per agency portfolio
Computer Skills
