3rd Shift Supervisor
Location: Seymour, IN

Hours: 11pm-7:30am
Pay $20-$25 depending on experience
Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced 3rd Shift Supervisor to join our client in Seymour, IN. They are a plastic molding company. As a 3rd Shift Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team to ensure the smooth operation of their facility during the overnight hours. It is a small company which means you could wear many hats. It's a great company for someone with leadership experience looking to get into the manufacturing environment. After 520 hours you will be hired on full time. This is a hands-on Supervisor role that oversees the production staff in the department to ensure all employees are working safely, efficiently and diligently to meet production standards. Leads, instructs, and trains employees on an ongoing basis to perform the department functions. Utmost attention to detail is necessary to meet and exceed customer expectation for continued success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the 3rd Shift team
- Oversee daily operations and ensure production goals are met
- Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor and maintain a safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and other supervisors
- Flexable to fill in for other supervisors if needed
- Train entry level Processes Extruder Technicians and manufacturing associates
- Prioritize work as necessary
- Assist with preparation for start of work to ensure machines are ready to use
- Respond to problems by performing corrective technical solution
- Monitor and record Inventory usage
- Assist and or lead quality checks and inspections, observe quality of all production
- Maintain an organized environment in the area throughout the day
- Works with management to obtain high quality products and makes sure quality standards are met or exceeded
Qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
Experience in implementing continuous improvement processes
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work overnight hours and adapt to changing priorities
Prior supervisory experience with longevity, doesn't have to be manufacturing environment.
Willing and eager to learn.
Mechanically incline may trouble shoot machines at times.
Organization, Time Management, Inventory Control
Ability to lift 50-70 lbs. not repetitive
Must be Fluent in English or bilingual
Must have clean background
