Job description

Principal Responsibilities
  • Follow-up with insurance companies on billed claims regarding claim status and resolution of payments in a timely manner.
  • Thoroughly review all notes in patient accounts for potential insurance benefit eligibility.
  • Access client systems to determine insurance eligibility and filing status in order to prepare claims for billing.
  • Request necessary documents from client to perform insurance billing.
  • Responsible for accurately tracking payments and payment verifications.
  • Contact patients when additional information is required to complete billing.
  • Provide thorough, efficient, and accurate documentation and updates in all required systems for each work event.
  • Dependent upon position, identify root cause of issues and concerns, determine resolution, and refer to Management.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.
  • Make recommendations to implement improved processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate or equivalent relevant work experience desired.
  • Previous insurance/medical billing/customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multitasked environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

  • Work from home once an internet speed test is successfully completed and submitted.

Work From Home Screening Process

To be eligible for remote or hybrid work from home employment with GetixHealth or any of its companies please follow the steps below:

  • NOTE for new employees: This process assumes you already have a personal PC, stable internet connection and smart phone. You will need to have these items as a prerequisite to remote employment work with us…even if you may later receive a company-provided PC.

You have been requested to our interview speed test to work from home. Please use the site provided below in yellow.

I have attached the Link as well as some speed tips to be successful in your speed test.

Please utilize these tips as they will help you get your best speed test run in your submission.

  • Quiet your house of all equipment potentially pulling from your bandwidth, i.e., smart TVs, printers, gaming, phones, etc.
  • Reboot your router.
  • Connect ONLY a laptop OR a desktop computer DIRECTLY to your router via an ethernet cable (cannot be done via Wi-Fi)
  • Perform test either early in the morning or late in the day, never during the highest traffic times.
  • Clear your cache, web history, and cookies.

  • The remaining instructions are found via the link on your mobile phone but please make sure your pictures are very clear and ALL numbers can be read, NOT just the up and down speeds. The first two pictures should just be of the speedtest results on your screen.

  • Once the Speed Test/WFH Qualifier is complete, received, reviewed and approved by HR or IT, then:

  • A Telecommuter Agreement will be created by HR, sent to the hiring manager for initiation and sent for completion via Docusign

  • The Telecommuter Agreement must be completed and signed by you. Once you complete the required fields it will automatically flow back to HR and IT for final approval.

  • Once your Telecommuter Agreement is approved by HR. HR will notify your hiring manager that you are approved for equipment.

  • Your hiring manager will formally request your hardware from IT.
