Auto Claims Adjuster – Harrisburg, PA

Join the claims team at a well-established Harrisburg-based insurance company. We are actively seeking a full-time AUTO CLAIMS ADJUSTER to contribute to our thriving business specializing in Auto Liability & Physical Damage, Cargo, and General Liability.

Responsibilities:

• Exercise sound judgment and decision making to analyze claims exposure, determining the appropriate course of action and settling claims effectively.
• Engage with insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, physicians, vendors, and other parties involved in the claims process.
• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve first and third-party claims, including bodily injury and litigated claims.
• Demonstrate effective time management and multitasking skills to complete assignments promptly.
• Document and communicate all claim activities to substantiate the outcomes of claim files.
• Resolve claims within delegated authority, escalating larger exposures to the Claims Manager for review.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Claims and Insurance, preferably as a Claims Adjuster/Insurance Adjuster.
• Strong team player with a passion for collaborative work, both within and outside your department.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills are crucial for success in this role.
• Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in related claims-handling; experience with trucking and general liability claims is advantageous.
• Adjuster licenses are a plus, and we're open to considering candidates willing to secure licensing.
• Proficient in professional written communication and experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Salary: $66,000-$70,000 per year
