Monday-Friday | 7am-6pm | $16.00 Per Hour:

• Hybrid/Work from home and one day in office
• Mandatory in-office training for 30 or more days
• Temp/Temp with intent to hire

Insurance Billing & AP Specialist Requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Associates degree preferred
• 2 years experience A/R follow-up, Insurance Billing or related healthcare billing services

OR

• Associates degree and 1 year of relevant experience or 4 year degree in healthcare or business related field
• Experience in Microsoft Office and G-Suite
• Excellent communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of third-party payer benefits
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds throughout the 8 hour shift independently

Insurance Billing & AP Specialist Summary

Under the direction of the Billing supervisor, performs the Insurance Billing and follow up with third party payers to resolve outstanding claims, including but not limited to claim status, rebilling, submitting claims for reconsideration, claim appeals and recommendation for account adjustment as appropriate Exhibits the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust)

Insurance Billing & AP Specialist Job Duties:

• Perform all initial billing for all payers via paper and electronic claims submissions
• Review all billing claims for accuracy of charges and appropriate billing edits
• Maintain a working knowledge of billing requirements for all payers and make the needed corrections to the claims prior billing
• Demonstrate the ability to maneuver around the websites associated with your designated payer to check eligibility and claim status and stay current with any ongoing changes
• Perform timely follow up on all outstanding balances due from the insurance companies by working daily AR reports.
• Meet and maintain quality standards established by the department.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
