Job Title: Insurance Verification Specialist
Location: Land O Lakes, FL
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (hybrid schedule after training)
LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a Non Profit Healthcare Organization in the Land O Lakes area seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to join their team!
Education and Qualifications:
Prior experience working with Insurance Authorizations, required.
Understanding of third-party and governmental payer requirements for obtaining authorization.
Ability to handle interactions with patients, family members, referral sources, and payers with tact.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledgeable about governmental regulations and billing protocols.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Conduct insurance verification and re-verify upon admission and establish payer profiles in the electronic health record system.
Process authorization requests for admitted patients, ensuring timely updates to electronic health records.
Document new, pending, and re-authorization requests in the EHR system. Collaborate with primary care physician offices regarding HMO plans.
Uphold the confidentiality of patient and organizational information through effective control measures.
May be required to perform additional job-related tasks beyond those outlined in this description.
Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
