Start a career in insurance! The Commercial Lines Insurance Agent Trainee's Primary function is to learn to sell commercial property and auto insurance products and provide quality customer service to Bancorp Insurance customers. Daily servicing of clients will include addressing various coverage issues, handling phones and digital requests from the client, including but not limited to all routine coverage questions.
Insurance Agent trainees are provided all the training and mentoring to become licensed Insurance Agents. This includes:
- All training, testing, and accreditation costs needed to obtain insurance licensure are paid for by Bancorp Insurance
- Monthly Bonus System!
- All continuing education requirements, classes, and seminars required to maintain insurance licensure are paid for by Bancorp Insurance
- On the job training and mentoring from experienced agents with over 40 years of service
Duties and responsibilities
- Builds and maintains client relationships.
- Provides consistent, accurate, and timely communication to clients through verbal and written correspondence.
- Educates clients on insurance coverage, exclusions, and exposures
- Documents all activity in our Agency Management System (AMS360)
- Handles cancellations, and actively tries to retain accounts
- Renew and re-market accounts as needed in conjunction with agency standards.
- Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skill & Ability
Skill:
- Utilizing modern office equipment and applications: Computer, phone, email, and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Prioritizing tasks, duties, and customer requests
- Oral and written communication
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of basic customer service concepts
- Knowledge of basic office and administrative concepts
Ability:
- Organize, prioritize, and self-manage workload.
- Work under time constraints in a fast-paced environment
- Cleary communicate simple and complex concepts to customers and staff
Education, Experience & Certifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as outlined in this job description.
- 1 year of office or administrative experience
- Certifications required: Licensed in 2 lines of insurance within 1 months of hire
Work Environment:
Work is principally sedentary. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
