Insurance Agent (Base + Uncapped Commissions, $5K Licensed Bonus)

We are looking for a Sales Agent to join our team in Vermont. This position would be reporting to the Rutland office. This could be remote if you reside in the following locations, Burlington VT, Montpelier VT, Barre VT, St. Johnsbury VT, Bennington VT or Brattleboro VT. Success in this role will require a strong local network and in-person relationship building in the community. You must reside in the state of Vermont.

Pay Details:

• Total average first year earnings range from $65K to $85K through a combination of base, bonus, and uncapped commission
• Potential for Top Performers to earn over $150K

Bonus Details:
* Up to $5,000 Sign on Bonus for new candidates that have an active P&C and/or Life License as an Insurance Agent.

• $2,500 if you hold an active P&C License
• $2,500 if you hold an active Life License
• Not licensed? If you independently pursue getting your P&C and/or Life license prior to your start and show proof of passing scores, you will be eligible for this bonus as well. Note, there is no requirement to obtain your licenses before you start work. Unlicensed candidates will be enrolled in a new hire training class once they begin working for Comparion. The training includes a licensing training program in which Comparion covers the cost of training materials and exam fees.

Qualifications
Experience

• Previous employment in a sales representative role where you have successfully turned prospects into customers
• A state insurance license-or willingness to earn one with Liberty Mutual's training and support-in Property & Casualty, and Life

Skills

• Effective written, oral communication and presentation skills
• Well-developed persuasion and negotiation skills
• Great interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build rapport with prospective and existing customers
• Effective time management and organizational skills

Knowledge

• Ability to learn insurance coverage and underwriting guidelines
• Familiarity with finding, building and growing leads and customer base

Education

• High School Degree with relevant sales experience
