As an Insurance Advisor in the Individual Department, you will educate and assist individuals in selecting the best coverage for their needs on plans ranging from Medicare, marketplace, dental, vision, long-term care, life, etc. This role works directly with a variety of individuals from all walks of life – seniors, families, couples, business professionals, etc. As an Insurance Advisor, you will meet with clients in a professional and organized manner to provide optimal products and services, assist with the enrollment process, and provide continued customer service and support as needed. In addition, the Insurance Advisor actively participates in internal training and certifications in order to maintain the PA State Life, Accident & Health Insurance License.

A day in the life of an Insurance Advisor Trainee can look like:
- Preparing for and meeting with new and current clients
- Closing transactional sales and submitting accurate insurance paperwork/applications
- Remaining current on products and processes in a multi-product environment
- Communicating daily with clients and insurance carriers (using phone, Outlook, and Zoom)
- Interacting and following up with clients to help resolve issues
- Meeting or exceeding sales and performance goals
- Abiding by compliance guidelines and company policies/procedures
- Able to apply self-directed time management
- Providing exceptional customer service to our clients
- Proofreading a variety of different documents
- Working as a team with other licensed advisors
- Distributing client and prospect communications as needed
- Completing other duties and projects assigned as needed
Make an impact:
- Possess or able to pass the Pennsylvania State Life, Accident & Health Insurance license examination, and obtain the required background checks and fingerprinting. We will guide you through this process as well as the credentialing required with specific insurance companies
- Knowledge of health, dental, vision, long-term care, and life insurance or willingness to learn
- Multi-tasking and triaging workload in a fast-paced environment
