About IIABL
The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of Louisiana is a trade association for independent agents in Louisiana. Our members are small to medium sized businesses that advise and place insurance for individuals and businesses in Louisiana. Our agents can shop their clients accounts with multiple companies to find the best possible coverage and price. Our associations mission is to empower those agents to succeed in Louisianas challenging insurance marketplace. We are a small team that works to provide advocacy and resources for our member agents.

Responsibilities
Facilitate personal umbrella and in-home business programs
- Work with member agents to facilitate the submission of new business accounts
- Administer ongoing policy service throughout the year
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge of the personal umbrella and in-home business market
- Process commissions for agent sub-producers
- Assist the Director of Communications in marketing our insurance programs.
Assist with the agents professional liability insurance programs
- Assist the Director of Insurance Programs with the Agents E&O, Cyber, EPL, and other commercial insurance programs
- Develop in-depth product knowledge of the agents professional liability market
- Other duties, as assigned by the CEO
- Our organization is a small team, so we often help each other out across departments.
- You may occasionally be asked to help with events, education, and other IIABL functions.
Requirements
- High degree of personal integrity.

- Strong customer service mindset and skills necessary to work directly with customers by phone and email.
- Seeks responsibility you will be in charge of running all aspects of certain insurance programs.
- Detail oriented job requires meticulous documentation for audit compliance.
- Candidate must be consistently organized and pay close attention to the small details of the processes.
- Constant learner you will be the subject matter expert on the programs and policy forms that you manage.
- You will need to be constantly learning about program updates and form changes to be the best possible resource for our member agents.
- This includes in-depth knowledge of various insurance contracts, so you will need to be fluent or be willing to become fluent in the legalese of contract language.
- Insurance producer license (requires learning insurance, passing the license exam, and securing a license including fingerprinting and FBI background check).
- If you dont already have an insurance license you MUST be willing to get licensed in the first few months on the job it is required for this role.
- Relevant insurance experience would be valuable but is not required.
- Computer fluency most of your work will be done on the computer, so basic proficiency with Microsoft products and other computer skills are required.
- Strong communication skills role will require written and verbal communications with customers.
